Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Specialist

Due to his interest in surgery, he completed his General Surgery internship as a student in Germany under Prof. Dr. Ch. Herfarth, Chief of Heidelberg University Surgical Clinics. Herfarth, Chief of Surgical Clinics at Heidelberg University in Germany. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine with the 3rd degree in 1990 and started his specialty training in General Surgery at SSK Okmeydanı Training Hospital in Istanbul in September-1991. During his specialty training, he prepared clinical and experimental studies as well as congress publications.

In 1993, he attended the “Microsurgery Course” at the University of Würtzburg in Germany and received training on “Valtrac” rings used in GI anastomoses and became the first user in Turkey and used it in his specialty thesis.

In 1996, he became a General Surgery Specialist at SSK Okmeydanı Training Hospital. In the same year, he completed the “Surgical Gastroentorology Endoscopy Training Courses” at I.U. Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Due to his interest in Liver and Biliary Tract Surgery, he actively worked in the Liver and Biliary Tract Surgery Unit of I.U. General Surgery Department for 4 months in 1999. During this period, he continued clinical and experimental studies.

Until 2007, he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at S.B. Okmeydanı Training Hospital.
